Advancing Localization and Innovation at IKTVA 2025
January, 2025
Nesma & Partners proudly participated as the Diamond Sponsor of the IKTVA Forum & Exhibition 2025, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef from January 13–16, 2025. With over 185,000 attendees, the event provided a platform to celebrate localization achievements, forge partnerships, and discuss initiatives driving economic growth in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. The forum featured 137 technical workshops and 23 panel discussions, where we engaged with industry leaders on key topics shaping the Kingdom’s future.
Our unwavering commitment to localization and innovation was honored with the IKTVA Excellence Award for Best in Overall IKTVA (Construction), highlighting our leadership in advancing the Kingdom's economic transformation. We were also nominated for the Best Booth – Creativity and Innovation category at the 2025 Aramco Exhibitor Excellence Awards. This recognition, bestowed upon the most exceptional contributors from over 250 exhibitors, emphasizes our significant impact on local content development and our role in shaping industry advancements.
As part of our efforts to empower the local workforce, Nesma & Partners signed two significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the event. The first, is with Saudi Aramco, which focuses on localizing the manufacturing of air emission control technologies and advancing training in automatic welding. The second Memorandum of Understanding, signed with Maharat Construction Training Centre (MCTC), focuses on enhancing the skills of the local workforce in the construction sector. MCTC will train 68 sponsored Saudis over 12 months, five days a week, equipping them with essential job skills, safety awareness, discipline, and professional work behaviors. This initiative supports Saudization, reduces unemployment, and ensures a skilled local workforce to meet industry demands in Saudi Arabia.
Throughout the event, we showcased our leadership in localization.
On January 13, our President & CEO, Samer Abdul Samad, highlighted our dedication to shaping the construction sector’s future and empowering local talent in an interview with Aramco after winning the Iktva Excellence Award. On January 14, Rami Alturki, Managing Director and Chairman of the Executive Committee participated in a panel discussion on "Maximizing Local Content Through Procurement," emphasizing how strategic sourcing drives local growth.
Innovation remained a key focus of our participation. On January 14, Jean Ghazal, Director of Preconstruction & VDC, delivered a session on "Immersive Innovation: Transforming Project Delivery with Holographic Technology," demonstrating how advanced technologies are revolutionizing project delivery.
At our booth in the Industrial Pavilion, we hosted several workshops to showcase our expertise. From January 13–15, Talal Alyami and Abdulaziz Alakeel presented "Challenges of Applying Local Content Requirements at the Project Level." Moreover, sustainability experts Razan Al Ali and Mohammed Salman engaged attendees from January 14–16, offering actionable insights on sustainable procurement practices.
Separate from our booth activities, Ahmad Aldarazi, Procurement Manager at Nesma & Partners, conducted a workshop titled 'Sustainable Procurement Practices' as part of the IKTVA 2025 Forum’s official program on January 15, 2025. His participation demonstrates the company's focus on promoting sustainable practices and creating local value in Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector.
Our participation at IKTVA 2025 underscores Nesma & Partners’ dedication to advancing localization, supporting economic transformation, and driving sustainable growth. Through strategic collaborations, technological transformations, and impactful initiatives, we continue to align with the Kingdom's ambitious vision and set benchmarks of excellence in the construction sector.
