Nesma & Partners Signs MoU with Qassim University to Advance Saudi Talent and Innovation.

Thursday, 21 November 2024

In line with its ongoing commitment to developing Saudi talent and fostering academic excellence, Nesma & Partners has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qassim University. The agreement was signed by Rami Alturki, Managing Director and Chairman of the Executive Committee at Nesma & Partners, and Dr. Meshal Ibrahim Almoshaogeh, Dean of the College of Engineering at Qassim University. The signing took place during the Local Content Forum, a strategic initiative by the Local Content & Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA) aimed at promoting local content culture, increasing its content, and creating connections between the private and public sectors while highlighting investment opportunities.

The MoU establishes a collaborative framework between Nesma & Partners and the College of Engineering at Qassim University. Under the agreement, Nesma & Partners will provide annual training opportunities for 20 engineering students through summer and cooperative programs. The collaboration will also include knowledge-sharing initiatives such as site visits, workshops, and access to advanced facilities. Moreover, the agreement highlights supporting research and innovation by funding student projects and establishing research chairs at the university to drive academic excellence and foster creativity.

Commenting on the initiative, Rami Alturki stated, "This agreement is a testament to our dedication to investing in local talent and enhancing Saudi Arabia's local content capabilities. By partnering with Qassim University, we aim to help equip future engineers with the skills and expertise they need to participate in building the future of our great nation. Moreover, this agreement will allow us to fund a research and development chair to drive sustainable growth in the sector and contribute to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives." Nesma & Partners is committed to enhancing the capabilities of students, faculty, and industry professionals by fostering innovation, localizing expertise, and driving sustainable growth.
