Nesma & Partners Chairman Highlights Strategic Growth and Global Expansion at FII9
During the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII9), our Chairman, Rami Khalid Alturki, shared with Al Arabiya Business how Nesma & Partners continues to lead Saudi Arabia’s construction sector while expanding its presence internationally.
With a project backlog exceeding SAR 40 billion, the Chairman outlined the company’s transformation from a national contracting firm into a diversified group with integrated capabilities across Energy, Infrastructure, and Building Construction, delivering technically advanced and high-impact projects from concept to completion.
He emphasized that the Public Investment Fund’s strategic investment reflects a shared vision and alignment of values between both entities, anchored in long-term value creation, sustainable development, and the responsibility to act as custodians for future generations. This partnership reinforces PIF’s confidence in Nesma & Partners as a national champion advancing the Kingdom’s ambitious development agenda.
Rami highlighted key strategic acquisitions that have strengthened the company’s capabilities globally and domestically. These include Kent, a global leader in engineering and project management, and AYTB, an industrial services specialist, enabling integrated solutions across consulting, engineering, and project delivery. Kent’s subsequent acquisitions of Exceed and Sudlows further expand the portfolio, with Exceed establishing global leadership in decommissioning and subsurface services. At the same time, Sudlows adds expertise in data center design and digital infrastructure, supporting the digital transformation era.
International expansion for Kent remains a strategic focus, with projects underway in the UAE, Australia, Europe, and the United States, reinforcing Nesma & Partners’ ambition to deliver innovative solutions worldwide.
Domestically, Nesma & Partners continues to play a central role in the Kingdom’s Giga-Projects, including Diriyah, Qiddiya, King Salman Park, and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, alongside ongoing partnerships with Saudi Aramco and other key stakeholders. The Chairman noted that Giga-Projects now account for nearly 50% of the domestic portfolio, with projects beginning to deliver visible impact and enhanced experiences for communities.
Looking ahead, Rami highlighted renewable energy initiatives, including the Green Hydrogen project in Yanbu with ACWA Power, demonstrating Nesma & Partners group’s commitment to the Kingdom’s energy transition. He also emphasized opportunities in data centers and emerging digital infrastructure, reflecting the group’s diversification into high-growth, future-ready sectors aligned with Vision 2030.
Reflecting on past performance, the Chairman noted that the company achieved annual growth of approximately 30% over the last five years. While this pace has been remarkable, the focus moving forward is on sustainable, disciplined, and quality-driven expansion, supported by operational excellence, process optimization, and a people-centered approach.
