Nesma & Partners and Serimax Launch Saudi Arabia’s First Pipeline Automated Welding Training Program for Locals
Nesma & Partners, in partnership with Serimax and with the support of Aramco, officially launched the Kingdom’s first Automated Mechanized Welding training program for pipelines at the Nesma High Training Institute (NHTI) in Dhahran. The launch activates the Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier this year during iktva and reflects Nesma & Partners’ commitment to workforce localization, innovation, and industrial excellence.
The six-month program certifies Saudi technicians in mechanized welding for pipelines through classroom instruction, practical exercises, and on-the-job training with automated welding crews. It introduces world-class automated welding technologies to the Kingdom and establishes a specialized pathway for developing highly skilled technicians.
Ahead of the visit, Serimax demonstrated Cleverweld 4.0, an advanced digital solution that enhances welding performance through real-time monitoring, traceability, and data-driven precision, showcasing how digital technology optimizes operations and ensures high-quality standards.
The launch at NHTI, featuring advanced Serimax automated welding units, establishes a specialized pathway for Saudi technicians, reinforcing Nesma & Partners’ commitment to local talent, technological innovation, and a stronger national workforce, while supporting sustainable industrial growth fully aligned with Vision 2030.
